On Saturday June 14 2008 I went to visit my Congressmen for District 7 here in Colorado, the Honorable Ed Purlmutter. The Congressmen meets with the public in grocery stores around the district from time to time.It was my third attempt to spur the congressmen to take action for our country by supporting Congressmen Kuncinich, Wexler and others in impeaching the President. Kuncinich has laid out the case against Bush in a thirty five point Articles of Impeachment. In reading this indictment, one is convinced that the President should be in jail for war crimes. This bill was sent to the Judiciary Community to die by complicit Democrats. The Democratic Party is not impeaching Bush and Chaney because they are just as guilty as the Republicans. Guilty of rushing to war, not reading legislation before passing, not speaking to the lies of the 911 attack, of supporting a war machine that has attacked a country that did not threatens us and of lying to the world about it. Mr. Purlmutter was not glad to see me. Our meetings in the past have been contentious and I have made films of his evasive answers. I have posted these on my website. This time he refused to be filmed. If he had been, there would be little doubt that he is not acting in the best interest of Colorado or America. We spoke about the New York Time’s report of millions being spent by the Pentagon on a propaganda campaign to sell the Iraq war to the public. This in-depth report makes clear the Pentagon’s intent to deceive us through the use of “Military Analysts” imbedded in the national media to push White House falsehoods. Perlmutter admitted that he had read the NY Times report and did not dispute the validity of it. I asked him “If you know the government and Pentagon are running a propaganda campaign on national TV to promote a war that was made on false pretences, why haven’t you warned your constituencies?” Purlmutter’s answer “Why would I?”  -because it is your duty Congressmen. “Are we at war Mr. Congressmen?” This question befuddled Ed, he looked around for some help from his handlers……I ask again “Is America in a state of war?” again no response, then he asks me “What do you think?” I matters little what I think, you are the Congressmen, don’t you know if the nation is at war or not? Finally Congressmen Perlmutter admitted that “I don’t know what state were in.”This is what we have come to in America. Government propaganda is so strong and prevalent that even Congressmen don’t know if we are at war or not. Even though our representatives know that the government is manipulating us with lies, they don’t warn us. They don’t speak or act to stop the crimes. Politicians who conceal crimes by inaction are a shame on our county. Perlmutter is no representative. He should be shouting long and loud to his fellow citizens. He should be honest to the people who put him in office. We are depending on him, but we are disappointed.What kind of Congressmen does not know if the country is at War?Are we completely abandoned by our representatives? 

War Hero? Prisoner of War, Next Commander and Chief? Why is John McCain acting so afraid? Why would a man suckled on mighty military milk fear tiny Iran? Is there any doubt that Iran could be “Obliterated” by the massive U.S. armaments? Why do our leaders continue to preach fear of nations that lack any real ability to threaten America? Recently I went to see John McCain speak. He had bought his presidential campaign to the Mile High City and spoke to a small crowd in the lobby of the Cable Center at Denver University. This appearance was billed as a “foreign policy” speech of the presumptive Republican nominee for the Presidency. As such, McCain’s speech was covered live by CNN, Fox and other local news broadcasters. The entire gist of what McCain had to say could have be easily expressed in a few words on a ticker tape. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (say Israel) IS BEING THREATENED BY IRAN.  They want nuclear weapons says McCain, that is reason enough for war. He wants to Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran. It is no longer necessary to say a country with a lot oil has WMD’s to justify war. Now all that is required to attack an oil producing country is to claim that they want WMD’s.  After this falsehood had been repeated by the Senator numerous times an Iraq war veteran stood to protest. He unfurled a banner and chanted END THIS WAR-END THIS WAR until he was escorted from the building. McCain resumed speaking  and was shortly interrupted again by a duo of brave protesters who were likewise removed for speaking out. When the speech resumed a third protest was launched this time by Code Pink members who also called for an end to the occupation of Iraq. Code Pink was put out of the building. Then the Senator illustrated the magnitude of the deception that he and the war machine wish to deliver to the voting public.”I will never surrender in Iraq, that is the message to all of my friends” McCain declared to the cheering crowd of Republicans. I was stunned. To whom could we possibly surrender in Iraq? We have destroyed that country and it’s military twice. Each time vastly superior U.S. weapons and technology decimated all resistance in short order. Not only that but we were never at war with Iraq. Bush attacked under a use of force resolution of the congress. America was never threatened by Iraq. We attacked Iraq without cause. All the exhortation for war with Iraq has been revealed to be a highly planed systematic propaganda campaign   http://www.freepress.net/taxonomy/term/1312 The Bush/Cheney regime planed to annex Iraq before they took office. Every Senator and Congressmen knows that Iraq was not a threat to America. However our Congressmen and Senators are afraid to speak against Bush/Cheney for fear of another Anthrax Attack.  Iraq had been choked for the twelve years between the wars by the most severe economic sanctions ever imposed. Every inch of Iraq was monitored 24/7 by AWAC and satellite, there was little chance of hiding WMD’s from this surveillance. U.S. war planes attacked at will from no-fly zones and the country was heavily bombed in 1998. Bush and his co-conspirators told one thousand well documented lies about mushroom clouds, WMD’s and pointed at Iraq as culpable for the 911 attacks on New York. Every Senator including Obama, Clinton and McCain knows and knew for certain that we were attacking a poor and starving country with no ability for aggression. Now McCain is pledging to never surrender to Iraq. McCain is the fortune son of  Navy Admiral John McCain, and has never been off of the government dogma and support. Because his life has been lived in the house of Uncle Sam Senator McCain is addicted to warring. He is in his glory promoting war. When the Senator then insisted that America never uses military force except as a “last resort” I could remain silent no longer. I raised my voice to contradict this lie and was myself escorted from the building. Military domination and occupation of Iraq was the first and only option considered by Bush and the crime was consented to by congress. Now McCain wants to do the same to Iran. My interruption of McCain’s fear mongering was later called “inconsiderate” by Congressmen Ed Purlmutter. I couldn’t agree more.

This blog is in support of correcting US Government policy foreign and domestic. To abate the use of arms sales and giveaways for the stimulation of the economy, the unethical support of corporate exploitation and the suppression of peoples world wide.

The American people have not consented to being in the arms business for profit. Yet every butcher, baker and candle stick maker is an unacknowledged partner of the arms industry. Paying first, through taxes, to maintain the vast munitions industry and then for the wars that result due to the flood of arms. Business naturally promote the activity that uses it’s product and the arms business is no different. Car company’s promote driving, airlines promote travel, manufacturers must promote the use of their products. They do so by making their products appealing or in some cases use fear or uncertainty to promote the purchase of products like insurance, credit protection, or health aids. Munitions makers promote fear to gain acquiescence for the need for their product and war to assure the continued use of their products.

At this time every country needs armaments for defense. However, our country has vastly more armament than any other and an arms industry that is effectively driving the country’s economy and foreign policy to no good end. The intent of arms manufacture is death and destruction. Not a business any of us wants to be in, nor have 35% of our economy dependent on the need for war. Additionally, our country cannot move on health care, infrastructure, alternative energy production, climate change or social problems when false security concerns dominate. Falsehoods justifying the war in Iraq are an example of how the industry through government perpetuates itself. This is just bad business with no sustainable future. It goes against the American foundation of justice and liberty. We cannot expect good to come out of bad.

Further, as long as we allow the government to be in the arms and war business, we will have our finances stripped and our freedoms eroded. No president or group of politicians can or will change this, only the people can. Therefore, the following is offered for our repair.

The Citizen’s Amendment to the US Constitution

“The import or export of arms and related systems by any individual, corporation, state, commonwealth,

territory or the federal government is prohibited. Nor shall weapons be placed in outer space.”

The Candidacy of Buddy Moore for the US Senate is made to give the people of Colorado and the country an opportunity to direct their government’s activities to peace and productivity and away from war destruction and foreign policy based manipulation and arms proliferation. It is not a proper government function to propagate war materials for profit.

It is my hope that this blog will become an open avenue for the exchange of ideas. The subject matter will be unlimited and uncensored. The only exception to that will be racism. Every American should reject racism as un-American. Our creed to accept all nationality, religions and races as fellow Americans is our brightest and our guiding light. Only through brotherhood born from the truth that all men and women are created equal, will the people prevail over institutionalized war making and injustice. And when we see politicians proclaiming that one religion or race or country is evil: we see foul propaganda tricks that have been played by the powerful since of the beginning of time. All people live with the same beating heart, the same blood, the same desire for peace and family. Misguided governments are to blame for most of the world’s woes. It is up to the people of each country to direct their government through participation. Not easy for them, not easy for us. Yet we have no choice. Inattention to what the government is doing and has done in the past will be our undoing.

In America the politicians have put up an effective partition that isolates them from the people they represent. Part of this partition is our faulty voting system that nullify the peoples voice. This has made hopeless the citizens attempts to participate. This problem can be fixed with more citizen participation. I propose a system of paper ballot voting monitored and counted by citizens who will be organized through county offices and summoned to duty in the same fashion that voters are called to jury duty. Because our new electronic voting machines are so unreliable it is unlikely that we could have a system in place for the next election that will give any confidence to the out come.

Politicians BE Warned! Look to the boarder of Egypt and Gaza to see what happens when people are unjustly fenced in!

Last week the United Press reported that two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials told 935 lies to justify making war with Iraq in the two years following the 9-11 attacks. The liars stated that Iraq had WMDs without a doubt, ties to al-Qaida and that Hussein was actively threatening the US with mushroom clouds. A quote from the article, “It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaida,” additionally “In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003.”

Now, with the President and his minions calling for and planning a war against Iran; IT IS TIME FOR ACTION!. How can this administration be trusted to run the country until the swearing in of a new president?

The members of congress have a duty to act now on the crimes commented against the US and Iraq.

They have the evidence and the opportunity everyday to act. This includes the candidates for the presidency. Every elected representative must stand TODAY and call for an end to this outrage. Our sons and daughters continue to die and kill in support of a criminally made war.

Every police officer knows that when there is probable cause that a crime has been committed- BY LAW-they must act, make an arrest, or seek a warrant for arrest of the perpetrator. Every senator and congressmen is charged with the same responsibility. To do nothing is malfeasance of office…boarding on treason.

Our soldiers are not given the option to “fight tomorrow” the battle is today!

WE NEED A PREEMPTIVE IMPEACHMENT NOW to stop the criminals from committing more horrific crimes.

Todays Rocky Mountain News front page headline tells of a secret memo and that the Dems plan a 1.9 million dollar ”foot on the throat” of Rep. Bob Schaffer. The news goes on to note that two wealthy Dems spent 9.5 million in 2004 in the Democratic takeover of the state legislature, while 20 million was spent on the 2004 Coors/Salazar senate race. Now the Dems plan to spend 11.7 million on the senate race alone. The winner of that race will work for 165,000.00 a year for six years in the US Senate. If a Democrat or Republican wins this senate seat, their party will have spent ten times what a senator will make in a six year term. These candidates themselves will spend little or none of their own money on this race.

How can anyone think that these fat cats care one whit about the average working Joe? That they will do any thing in office but promote the stasis quo? Who is looking forward to being beaten endlessly by the TV advertisements of these clods and their tsunami of money while they do not address the issues? Nether Udall or Schaffer will speak one word of truth about the 911 attacks, how the Patriot-Act has stripped us of our right to be secure from no warrant searches, habeas corpus and the removal of judicial oversight of police action. Nor will they speak of impeachment and criminal prosecution of the traitorous president and vice president who have sold our future to the oil companies….but I will speak of it. You should speak of these things too. When Americans talk to one another we  win!

Folks, there’s only one way to look for an honesty. Look into your heart of hearts, are Udall and Schaffer men of the people? Or are they the glib water carriers of the rich? Want a real working man to represent you in Washington? Help me prove that the people rule! All the money under the sun cannot make a pile of manure smell like a mountain flower, so be ready to hold your nose. I am committed to publicly financed campaigns that will take much of the corruption out of politics, stop the buying of candidates before they can win office and force candidates to deal with issues not melodrama and window dressing.

Today I joined thousands of Colorado citizens to hear Barack Obama speak. This man is showing the courage that we must have to right our listing ship. Also it speaks to the distance we have come from a nation that was born with the wicked thorn of slavery already piercing our breast. This man and his support is reason to cheer! And just as we broke that evil chain of slavery we must now break the tyranny of arms that have been placed around our necks since World War II.

If it is that Senator Obama should read this blog I would urge him to pledge to remove all troops from Iraq, turning over the bases to the people of that broken country. He should offer every assurance to the people of Iraq to rebuild their country and hold out the true helping hand of the American people.

And I would ask how it is that he can trust the President who methodically lied to us into war against a starving nation-to lead us peacefully to the inauguration? I know you are busy Senator, but could you ask one of your friends in the House of Representatives to start impeachment proceeding NOW before we are in another unjustified war? Know that the people will support you.

In these last days before Super Tuesday Colorado is being visited by most of the top presidential contenders. While I greeted people and offered my campaign literature to those coming to see Ron Paul Friday night at the convention center I faced tough questions from Paul’s supporters. Some demanded to know what I mean by Reasonable Immigataion? Congressmen Paul calls for doing whatever is nessary to secure our boarders and coast lines-saying on his website: a nation without secure boarders is no country at all. I agree, however we differ on how this should be accomplished.  It is easy to imagine native American leaders in 1600 saying the same thing as Dr Paul when their country was being flooded by Europeans. Further this statement suggests that America should use deadly force against what has historically been friendly poor people seeking work. This would indeed turn them back. However I would note that people trying to illegally cross our southern boarder already face an army of thieves and cut throats in the barren lawless boarder wilderness on the Mexican side. Attacked by their fellow Mexicans, the women are raped, families beaten and whatever they have of value stolen. Why is it that the Mexican Government is not held to account for doing nothing to control it’s boarder? And why is it that we hear nothing in the media concerning the root problems of this issue?

Migrant Mexican workers have been a fact of life since they were invited here by our government to replace farm workers going to fight in WW1. In the following decades illegal immigration has been allowed by the federal government. It is not as though 12 million people suddenly arrived. Why is it allowed by our government? Because corporate interest want cheap labor. What better way to undermine American workers demand for a living wage and decent treatment than a supply of poor labor willing to work for much less? Americans are sympathetic to people who want to work hard to improve themselves and to immigrants as this is nation of immigrants. Now this is a complicated situation that must be resolved by the rule of civil law not by the further militarization of our country.

In brief I will speak to the question of illegal Mexican/Central American immigration.

1. The US government must engage the Mexican government: bring to bear the considerable economic power we have to influence the Mexican government. They should patrol their side of the boarder, routing the criminals and murders and turning back those who seek to enter the US illegally. We should likewise increase our Boarder Patrol. I oppose the use of military personal for this function as this is a step toward a military police state.

2. Enact laws that will encourage illegals to come forward, be identified and given temporary status. Give them the opportunity to stand up for the crime they committed by entering illegally and a chance to operate legally while their status is determined. Otherwise we will be fighting a vast and united underground criminal element in our midst.

3. Laws forbidding the hire of illegals should be the focus of enforcement. However these workers are needed in our economy. This is why we must establish a temporary legal status for these workers.

4. Once our boarders are secure, reasonable immigration law will allow for the correct number of immigrants to legally come through the front door as they should. At this time it is nearly impossible for Mexican/Central American people to immigrate. The cost and red tape force honest people seeking opportunity to become criminals while at the same time providing cover for true criminals who commit crimes here hiding among millions who don’t.

Finally if this blog was honored by a visiting Congressmen Ron Paul I would ask him the same thing as I have asked other congressmen and senators who seek the presidency. Congressmen Paul, you say that the war in Iraq is illegal. We were taken to war by a deceiving president and his minions. You have said that the same illegal aggression could at any time be taken against Iran. Sir, will you stand with Congressmen Kucinich and impeach this criminal NOW! This is where the rubber meets the road and we need action by our leaders-who’s duty it is to protect the public by enforcing the law. Do not hesitate, the people will support you.
